“Weep with Those Who Weep”
Romans 12:15
I will be attending two funerals this week-end to grieve with two friends my age; one lost his mother and the other lost his son (I have a son the same age). What does one say at these times? For me, usually nothing. When I am the one grieving, I appreciate the other person’s presence but not necessarily their words. Of course, I will not be mute, but I will not have a canned talk ready either. I hope my presence will speak volumes. I may even weep. I think that is what Jesus would do.
