Some people have a gift of generosity.  For them, giving is very natural and simple and easy.  For most of us, however, giving does not automatically flow.  We (at least speaking for myself) are naturally selfish.  Still, with time the Lord can change our hearts and make us better givers.  

You are right about consistency.  If we just discipline ourselves to set aside a certain amount each week, we will give based on habit and not will power.  A lot of people could indeed be helped!  

And we will become more cheerful givers.</description>
