You make a great point in that consumers are responsible for monitoring their own accounts to make sure their rights are not being violated.  If we don&#039;t do it, who will?  The term &quot;buyer beware&quot; is more applicable to credit card users than nearly any other type of purchase.

		<description>The Credit Card Act of 2009 has gotten a lot of publicity over the past few months with the creditors being proactive and increasing rates and decreasing balances, etc. Now with some of the other details being implemented on the 22nd, even more people are tuning in and listening. In fact, I just received several pages of information from one of my creditors about the changes. One of the most important things that consumers can do is to make sure that they monitor their accounts to ensure that their rights aren&#039;t being violated. Even though the statement should tell you when the account should be paid off, I like your suggestion of developing a plan to pay them off completely. That&#039;s my goal.
