in Weekly Roundup

March Money Madness, a personal finance writing contest in playoff format, has reached the Championship Round this weekend, and my post Debt Free in One Year: A True Story is one of the finalists!  I am pitted against a great post Identify & Overcome Money Anxiety & Stress in Relationships written by Matt Jabs from Debt Free Adventure.   Many thanks to Free Money Finance for hosting the contest and providing prize money for charities of the Final Four ($500 to the winner!).  Now…get over to Free Money Finance and vote!

The big news this week has been, of course, the Health Care Reform Act.  Good reading on this act:

Thanks Carlos,
Of course I would like to win, but Matt wrote such an awesome post that I will be very happy for him if he wins.

Congrats on getting as far as you have Joe. Either way, you’ve won several hundred dollars for your charity. Matt is a juggernaut this year, he steamrolled me in the final four. :) Good luck!

Bible Debt and Peter,
Thanks guys for the good word. Much appreciated!

Pete, I wasn’t sure exactly what a juggernaut was, but now I know: it is Matt. :)

Very cool to get so far in FMF’s March Madness challenge! My “The Worst Seat On The Plane Is The Best Seat In The Office” post got blown out in round two!

Gluck!
